2019 PFF poster competition

The Polish Cinema in Australia team is calling for a poster design concept to promote the 2019 Polish Film Festival in Melbourne 22 November – 1 December 2019.

Competition conditions:

This competition is open to interested graphic and visual artists of all ages living in Australia, including PFF volunteers and their families – FREE ENTRY.

THEME: Polish Film Festival ‘Illumination’.

Entrants are asked to:

Provide an A3 size, portrait orientation entry in PDF or JPEG 300 dpi format.

State the medium used.

Include a brief pitch (maximum 75 words) explaining why the art represents

The designs must include:

The headline: 7th Polish Film Festival 2019 Australia.

The colour Scarlet red.

The PFF logo (which will be supplied to the entrants registered for the competition by the due date).

Individuals can submit more than one concept.

The winning designer agrees to exclusive use of the concept by Polish Cinema in Australia Inc.


$500 commission and 2 complimentary tickets to the PFF 2019 Opening Night.

4 complimentary tickets to other selected films.

Submit your entry in PDF or JPEG format to with the title Polish Film Festival Poster Competition.

Applications close Monday 29 July 2019 at 5pm.

Winner announced 12 August 2019.

Winner will be contacted by 12 AUGUST 2019 by the PFF organisers.

The ten best designs will be featured on the PFF website with the artists’ biographies (250 words).

The Polish Film Festival 2019 poster will be a commissioned work. The winning entrant will develop his/her concept to completion by an agreed date under the direction of the competition organisers with payment by 30 August 2019.

Note: The Polish Film Festival organisers are considering staging an exhibition of selected designs as part of the 2019 PFF festival.
